News from Cosmogon:
Before the year’s end, we needed to get at least one more tune in the can. Also, we wanted to let fans know that lo-fi space rock doesn’t necessarily mean all our tunes are slow and/or spaced out. Sometimes a space rock causes massive impact. So here you go:

Hey, who hasn’t been busy lately? Let’s see a show of hands. That’s what I thought. In general, we’re all not visiting our favorite websites and blogs nearly as often. And that’s okay. But I’m glad you stopped by.
Cosmogon puts out the best loud lo-fi space rock around. Here’s our latest hit.
People demand their space rock. I understand. We’ve had some issues with mission control and such. Cosomogon’s summer tour has been delayed, but at least we’ve got a new single out:
Cosmogon, the best lo-fi space rock band in the universe, has been in the studio recently. Though we may very well put out a full length CD and begin a world tour later this year, for now, we’re keeping it real and loud and local.
When you get right down to it, who really wants constant tweets? Is anyone really capable of being constantly interesting? And even if they were, that sounds boring.

I figured I’d just get right to it with this experimental tune. Meanwhile, I’m working on various other projects, including a simple website, new tunes, a job hunt, ect.
Hopefully Cosmogon will have a tune or two ready to upload soon. The world could use more loud space rock.
Here’s a new FifeSpeed tune: Infrastructure
It’s tempting to offer commentary on the latest events of the world at large and in my own life. To that end, I’m seriously considering the creation of another blog.
The FifeSpeed blog will continue to on sounds and music. The sounds, however, tell a story and probably betray something of my thoughts.
As for upcoming sound projects, I’m hoping my band, Cosmogon, will get a chance to continue recording some of the newer tunes we’ve been working on. I’ve even daydreamed a bit about having us hit an open mic venue, though we might be a tad bit loud for that.
A few sound samples I’ve been gathering have been gestating, and perhaps with the right tweaking, I’ll have some new FifeSpeed experimental tunes on the way.

In the constant flux of events, I’m ever reminded that there are no guarantees in life. At the same time, as long as I can keep marching to the groove of a funky beat, get in touch with my inner James Brown, than “Hah!”
So the next chapter begins. In this part of the story, I’ll engage in a new job search. I’ll put some new tunes together. I’ll consider new directions. But first, I’ll head out on a family camping trip.

I’ve been on a new job for about 6 weeks and am enjoying it. There’s also a bit of stress in that I’m trying to prove myself and succeed. I’m considering creating a separate blog to focus more on professional job concerns.
Cosmogon met yesterday to work on a new tune. Upon completion, it’s sure to be loud and cosmic in the way our fans demand.
