Porpoise Trilogy lyrics

For those who want lyrics to the tune, here you go.

Porpoise Trilogy: A Space Opera

Porpoise Trilogy: A Space Opera

Brothers of the fin
Swimming towards the end
Brothers of the fin
Locked in bloody sin

Mutant gene in a Petri dish
Morphed into a Frankenfish
Porpoises with cyborg claws
Dolphins with shark-like jaws
Jets packs on the dorsal fins
For flying porpoises and dolphins
Now the funding is in place
To send the pods into outer space

Meet the new labor force
In zero gravity they can stay the course
The fish feel they have to compete
Until a porpoise has to cheat
Then angry dolphins take his life
The flipper war then ignites
Rumor is it’s a human gene
That makes these fish so goddamn  mean

Cosmogon Strikes Again

Posted in Tunes with tags on December 8, 2009 by fifespeed

News from Cosmogon:

Before the year’s end, we needed to get at least one more tune in the can. Also, we wanted to let fans know that lo-fi space rock doesn’t necessarily mean all our tunes are slow and/or spaced out. Sometimes a space rock causes massive impact. So here you go:

Not sure what’s going on with WordPress, but the FifeSpeed Board of Directors have intervened. The previous post from the other day was deleted. We hope this link works.

Where Have You Been?

Posted in Tunes on September 12, 2009 by fifespeed

Hey, who hasn’t been busy lately? Let’s see a show of hands. That’s what I thought. In general, we’re all not visiting our favorite websites and blogs nearly as often. And that’s okay. But I’m glad you stopped by.

Cosmogon puts out the best loud lo-fi space rock around. Here’s our latest hit.

Quit Holding Out On Us

Posted in Tunes with tags , on July 23, 2009 by fifespeed

People demand their space rock. I understand. We’ve had some issues with mission control and such. Cosomogon’s summer tour has been delayed, but at least we’ve got a new single out:

What Lurks in the Shadows?

Posted in Tunes with tags , , on June 30, 2009 by fifespeed

Cosmogon, the best lo-fi space rock band in the universe, has been in the studio recently. Though we may very well put out a full length CD and begin a world tour later this year, for now, we’re keeping it real and loud and local.

Forget Tweets

Posted in Tunes on June 14, 2009 by fifespeed

When you get right down to it, who really wants constant tweets? Is anyone really capable of being constantly interesting? And even if they were, that sounds boring.

How about something that sounds more interesting? Introducing Chirps! That’s right. For a small fee, you can receive a Chirp delivered right to your preferred i-receptacle. Contact FifeSpeed for more info: fife.speed@gmail.com.

I figured I’d just get right to it with this experimental tune. Meanwhile, I’m working on various other projects, including a simple website, new tunes, a job hunt, ect.

Hopefully Cosmogon will have a tune or two ready to upload soon. The world could use more loud space rock.

Infrastructure Updates

Posted in Tunes with tags on May 11, 2009 by fifespeed

Here’s a new FifeSpeed tune:  Infrastructure

It’s tempting to offer commentary on the latest events of the world at large and in my own life. To that end, I’m seriously considering the creation of another blog.

The FifeSpeed blog will continue to on sounds and music. The sounds, however, tell a story and probably betray something of my thoughts.

As for upcoming sound projects, I’m hoping my band, Cosmogon, will get a chance to continue recording some of the newer tunes we’ve been working on. I’ve even daydreamed a bit about having us hit an open mic venue, though we might be a tad bit loud for that.

A few sound samples I’ve been gathering have been gestating, and perhaps with the right tweaking, I’ll have some new FifeSpeed experimental tunes on the way.

 Stay tuned!!
